About Bending Branch Winery:
Bending Branch Winery sits on 56 scenic acres near the Guadalupe River outside of Comfort, Texas. Established in 2009 by the Young family, Bending Branch is known for quality and experimentation in every facet of winemaking, including fermentation methods and production processes. Bending Branch Winery is best known for Tannat, its signature red wine. Bending Branch wines and bourbons are available for tasting at the Bending Branch Estate Tasting Room outside of Comfort.
About Ursa Vineyards:
Nestled in the foothills of Placerville, California, Ursa was founded in 2001 by husband-and-wife team, Greg Stokes and Deborah Elissagaray. Greg and Deborah started their winemaking careers in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and first met in 1992 while working at David Bruce Winery. The couple fell in love with Tannat, and they were the first to produce Tannat wines in California. A mutual interest in Tannat is what brought together Ursa and Bending Branch, when Greg was hired as a consultant when Bending Branch was getting started. This professional relationship flourished, and the Young family purchased the Ursa brand in 2014, making Greg and Deborah a permanent part of the team.
The tasting room for Ursa’s amazing Sierra Foothills wines is located at Ursa at Branch on High in Comfort, Texas.
